words after dark - typewriter series

This one is really special to me. In this week’s Words After Dark I’m reading (or trying to) a poem by my dear friend Tyler Knott. This is #2889 in his Typewriter Series. He’s been writing a poem a day for over a decade. I am forever moved by his ever-flowing well of inspiration. He writes from the very depths of his soul and man, I feel it. I wanted to read this poem with the grace and care it deserves but I could not get through it without crying. So, this is me trying to read through something so very beautiful without completely falling apart.⁣

I feel like it’s so very fitting for where my heart is in the world today. I feel this incredible longing on so many levels, for passion, for peace, for love, for connection, for freedom, and this poem brought everything to the surface, so alive and so raw. I hope you feel it as much as I do. ⁣
