second edition

Last year hasn’t been easy on any of us, financially or emotionally, and your support in my art continues to lift me up and fill my heart with so much gratitude. I’ve leaned on y’all pretty hard this year and for that, I want to say thank you. Knowing that I’m not alone in my struggles and dreams have made all the difference. I hope I have contributed to your day, your life, your heart in a way that has been healing and impactful.

For those of you who have taken an interest in my story, I wanted to share that the second edition of From the Dust is now available for preorder. This new edition comes with a new cover hand-drawn by my husband Perry, an added story, a copy of the audiobook, and a cassette tape with new songs by Perry. When I originally released the first edition of the book I told myself I’d only do one round of printing and then once I sold out I’d move onto another set of stories, but I’ve received so many requests for the book since it’s been sold out that I’m doing another limited run. This little book serves as a tiny glimpse into the world of my full memoir that I’m currently pitching to literary agents. It’s a crack in the door to the world I grew up in, the world I tried so hard to escape, and most of all, the internal world of my heart and soul where no matter the struggle, love has still found a way to exist and grow. The encouragement and positive feedback I’ve received from my IG community about my story, and on this project and my memoir have shown me that good things can come out of what may seem like bad situations. Thank you for that reminder and I appreciate you taking a genuine interest in my art.
